Obituary for Kathleeen J. "Kay" Grant (Beach)
February 9, 2023 at age 95. Predeceased by Gordon Grant granddaughter, Courtney Grant, sisters; Edna, Phemie and Betty, brothers; Harry, Arthur and Ronald Beach, parents Enos and Honor Beach, nephews, Roger Grimes. She is survived by her children, Kip (Kim) Grant, Michael Grant and Wanda Bailey, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Peggy Beach and Francis Bellavia, many nieces and nephews and a very special cousin, Frank (Mabel) Saunders.
Kay retired from the University of Rochester. She enjoyed camping at Sleepy Hollow, and playing Bingo with family and friends. She was a Charter member of the Mumford Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren. They were the joy of her life!
Friends may call Friday, February 17, 2023 from 4-7 P.M. at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. Her Memorial Service will be held 10 AM, Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 Main St., Caledonia. Interment Mumford Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Golisano Autism Center, Attn: Beth Ciardi, 50 Science Parkway, Rochester, NY 14620.
