Alan Ray Sickles
Caledonia- at the age of 82 passed away peacefully at home with loving family by his side on March 1, 2021.
Alan Ray was born in Frankfort Illinois to Glen and Evelyn Sickles., he was the youngest of 5 children. At a young age, they moved to Mumford where he grew up.
Alan Ray worked for 33 years at American Airlines and retired in 2001. In his retirement, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons. He really enjoyed turkey hunting at his brother Gary’s hunting camp in Randolph. Alan Ray liked taking rides in his truck around town as long as it included a Snickers bar or bag of candy. He always had a bag of candy in the truck.
Alan Ray is survived by his wife of 61 years, Laurelie, daughter Tracey, Son Mark (Lisa) Sickles, Grandchildren Marlee (Tim) Beavers, Kyle (Sidney) Sickles, and Ryan (Briana Perry) Sickles. Great Grandchildren Bradley and Benton Beavers and Fletcher Sickles. Brother Robert (Marie) Sickles, Sister Nancy Hoag, Brother Gary (Eileen) Sickles, and several nieces and nephews. . Predeceased by his brother and sister in law William (Lorraine) Sickles and Brother in law Dick Hoag.
