Obituary for Aaron D. Evarts

Aaron died suddenly Saturday 3/28/20 at 39 years of age. He leaves behind his loving girlfriend Melanie DeBarr and his three beautiful daughters, five-month-old Elyse Ruth (Melanie DeBarr), Nine-year-old Angela (her mother Darby Pyfrom) and seventeen-year-old Serenity (her mother Bioleta Calderon), his mother, Theresa Ingham, his father, Christopher Evarts (Jean Koroliszyn), his sister Amanda Evarts, his brother Damon Runyon (Kristin), and his nephews, Todd and Bryce Fahrer, and Brenton and Jacob Runyon Aaron also leaves behind many cousins, aunts and uncles and friends who he loved dearly, especially Aaron Cook, Dylan Formanek, and Eddie Ivey.

Aaron was a family man who loved spending time with his children and extended family. He loved staying in for family game nights, and being outdoors for camping, cookouts and hiking with the kids. He was the very definition of “the favorite uncle”. Aaron was also a member of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) and an avid and expert player.

Aaron had such passion. Most obviously for the new sober life he had made for himself, but also for helping others that were going through tough times. He was a charismatic, fun loving, giving, caring guy who lit up a room with his infectious laugh. Aaron waged a daily fight against drug addiction. His last six years he spent mentoring others who were struggling with addiction. Aaron never judged anyone and was open and honest if he thought someone could benefit from his experiences. He completely turned his life around and was admired by many for how far he’d come. He knew better than most the power of addiction and we are all left wondering how he fell again. Aaron will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Aaron’s life will be scheduled after the Corona Virus restrictions are lifted.
