James J. Nailos

CALEDONIA - October 16, 2019 at age 85. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret “Peggy” Nailos; children, Mary Ann Nailos (David Hackett), Monica (Mark) Smith, David Nailos (Donna LaCasse), Patrick (Michelle) Nailos, Michael Nailos; sisters, Mary Hegel, Florence Nieciecki; grandchildren, Jennifer Nailos, Stephanie (Nick) Rappa, Christopher (Brittany) Nailos, Justine Smith, Gretchen (Frank) Wolfs, Megan Smith, Katie Nailos, Conor Nailos; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Jim was predeceased by his sisters, Betty Wilbur, Helen Kuryla. Jim was a charter member of the Father William Devereaux Council Knights of Columbus #7980. He retired from John Hancock Life Insurance Co. He was an avid wood carver and he belonged to the Chili Carving Club, the Blue Parrot and Recreation Plantation Clubs in Lady Lake, FL.

Family and friends are invited to call Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. Monday, October 21, 2019 at 10 AM his Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martin de Porres Parish St. Columba Church, Caledonia. Interment, St. Columba Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Big Springs Museum, PO Box 41, Caledonia, NY 14423 or Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14642.
