David G. Mooney
CALEDONIA - Passed away, July 10, 2019 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. A kind soul to all those he encountered in his 27 years, David was an avid lover of music, an enthusiastic fan of the New England Patriots (to everyone’s dismay) and enjoyed time spent with his loving family. David fought his battle selflessly without expressing complaints or fear. When asked how he felt, his response was always “outstanding”. He truly touched the lives of all who cared for him. David is survived by his mother, Kathleen (Macken) Mooney; sisters and brother-in-law, Christine and Daniel Dunnigan and Rachel Mooney; paternal grandmother, Mary “Rissy” Mooney; maternal grandmother, Antoinette Macken and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his father, David J. Mooney; grandfathers, Gerald Mooney and Thomas E. Macken Sr.; uncle, Doug M. Roberts and cousins, Brian T. Macken and Stephanie E. Hogan.
Friends may call Sunday 4-7 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter’s Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy.
Interment St. Columba Cemetery, Caledonia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David’s memory to the Palliative Care Program Office of Advancement, P.O. Box 278996, 300 E. River Rd., Rochester, NY 14627
