June 13, 2019 at age 88. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Alta; son, LeRoy (Melissa) Swinehart Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Elisa, Abigail & Brody Swinehart; sisters, Carolyn (Burt) Ingalls, Martha (Ralph) Cuffe & Janice Threlkold; several nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Grace Swinehart; sister, Clara Smith and brothers, Eugene and Martin Swinehart.
LeRoy served in the US Marines from 1948-1969. After retiring from the Marines, he worked for General Foods in Avon for twenty years.
Friends may call Monday 4-7 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia where his Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 11 AM. Interment with Military Honors will be held at St. Columba Cemetery, Caledonia. Memorials may be made to the Caledonia Library, 3108 Main St., Caledonia, NY 14423.
